1099 Independent Contractor – Small Parcel Courier (Cincinnati, OH)

Are you looking to manage your own delivery schedule? Lumen Atlas Logistics is seeking dedicated 1099 Owner-Operators for efficient last-mile small package distribution across Cincinnati and surrounding commercial/residential zones. This independent contract role is ideal for organized drivers who own a reliable vehicle, enjoy working autonomously, and consistently meet delivery targets.

Note: This is a 1099 contract position requiring your own road-ready vehicle. Fleet owners and master contractors are welcome to apply.

MASTER CONTRACTORS & FLEET OWNERS WELCOME

Primary Responsibilities

• Safely transport, manage, and drop off small packages along assigned local routes.
• Utilize smartphone navigation tools to optimize routes and maintain on-time fulfillment.
• Capture required digital proof of delivery (POD) or recipient signatures for each stop.
• Provide quick status updates to dispatch regarding unexpected delays or route issues.
• Maintain professional client interactions while adhering to all Ohio traffic regulations.
• Keep accurate daily delivery records and complete routine end-of-day check-ins.

Candidate Criteria

• Vehicle: Must utilize your own dependable car, SUV, or minivan suited for parcel routing.
• Active state driver’s license alongside an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
• Physical capacity to handle, lift, and transfer items weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable using modern mobile devices, route mapping tools, and courier apps.
• Strong time-management skills, self-direction, and focus on service accuracy.
• Previous experience in parcel delivery, route driving, or gig logistics is beneficial but not required.

Working Environment

• Involves active physical movement, including frequent vehicle entry/exit, bending, and stair navigation.
• Willingness to operate safely across various weather conditions and suburban/city traffic environments.
• Flexible scheduling options (Full-Time, Part-Time, or Weekend slots).
