Marketing Manager, Cincinnati, Ohio
Doughlicious is a fast-growing international snack brand, offering a portfolio of cookie dough-led treats across frozen, chilled, and ambient categories. Our range includes Cookie Dough & Gelato Bites, Ready-to-Bake Cookie Dough, and Soft-Baked Cookies. Across the globe, our products are listed across major grocery retailers and foodservice partners, with continued growth momentum across channels and categories.
We’re looking for a Marketing Manager to build and lead Doughlicious’s U.S. marketing function from the ground up. You’ll own the U.S. marketing strategy, brand, and budget end to end — setting the vision, building the team, and executing campaigns that turn a beloved UK brand into a household name in America. You’ll work hand-in-hand with our Founder & CEO, and Sales teams, our Ohio co-manufacturing partner, and the Global Social Media team, while having real license to shape how Doughlicious shows up in the U.S. market.
This role is based in Cincinnati or Columbus, Ohio (Hybrid)— close to our U.S. operations and manufacturing base — with regular collaboration with our UK headquarters.
What You’ll Be Doing
Leading the U.S. Marketing Function
- Manage and build the U.S. marketing team as we grow—hiring the right people, and setting the standard for how we work.
- Act as the voice and champion of the Doughlicious brand across the U.S. organization, from the leadership team to retail partners.
- Establish scalable systems, processes, and agency relationships
Brand Strategy, Planning & Management
- Lead brand planning for the U.S. market — strategy, objectives, channel priorities, campaign calendar, and investment allocation.
- Stay ahead of the U.S. better-for-you and frozen/chilled snacking landscape with regular competitor reviews, category analysis, and consumer insight work.
- Manage the brand across all U.S. channels to maximize KPIs (awareness, equity, sales, and more) while protecting brand integrity and budget.
Marketing Campaign Development & Execution
- Spark bold, out-of-the-box thinking across the team and partners — we want ideas that are executable with defined KPI’s and always be the leaders of a trend rather than a follower.
- Plan and run integrated campaigns across digital, social, PR, earned, experiential, and shopper marketing.
- Select and manage U.S. agency partners (creative, PR, media, shopper) to deliver activity that’s aligned, on-brief, and genuinely fun.
- Own influencer strategy and the U.S. content pipeline to keep Doughlicious relevant, talkable, and all over our global feeds.
- Identify U.S. brand partnerships that make Doughlicious even more irresistible.
Retail & Shopper Activation
- Partner with U.S. Commercial to build retailer sell-in stories, trade activation plans, and POS materials for key accounts like Whole Foods, Target, and Costco.
- Manage retailer media and shopper marketing programs to drive trial and rate of sale.
- Manage field marketing — sampling, demos, pop-ups, and trade events — to get Doughlicious in front of American consumers and let them taste the magic.
Digital & Website
- Own the Global digital brand presence — website, CRM/email, and social media direction.
- Lead U.S. content strategy, building out social and digital capability as the team grows.
Performance & Budget
- Own U.S. brand budget planning and management, making sure every dollar works hard and ties back to KPIs.
- Track, analyze, and report on campaign performance and brand health to the Founder & CEO and leadership team, recommending how to make things even better.
Who You Are
- Degree-level education, ideally in Marketing, Business, Brand, or a related field.
- 3+ years in brand or marketing management, ideally in FMCG and grocery-led branded products, particularly in the better-for-you or natural/specialty space.
- Experience with the U.S. retail landscape — natural/specialty grocery, mass, and club channels (Whole Foods, Target, Costco, or similar).
- A track record of building or scaling a marketing function for an emerging or challenger brand — you’re as comfortable rolling up your sleeves as you are setting strategy.
- Genuinely passionate about health and mindful, better-for-you living — even if your background is from outside the industry.
- Sharp commercial acumen — you can turn insight and category data into strategy and action.
- Experience leading and growing teams, plus managing external agency partners.
- Hands-on experience with innovation and packaging development from concept to shelf, including familiarity with U.S. labeling and FDA requirements.
- A pro at juggling multiple timelines and priorities without breaking a sweat — multi-tasking is basically your superpower.
- A witty, confident communicator and presenter who can write (and talk) with genuine personality.
- Creative, hands-on, and solutions-focused — you make things happen, not just plan them.
- Based in, or willing to relocate to, Cincinnati or Columbus, Ohio, with the flexibility to travel to our UK headquarters annualy.
- Fun, fast-paced, and always up for shaking things up. “It’s always been done this way” just isn’t in your vocabulary.
Nice to Have
- Experience in chilled, frozen, snacking, or premium food categories.
- Familiarity with retailer media networks and shopper marketing activation.
- Experience with influencer marketing and earned/PR-driven brand building.
