In this role you lead adversary emulation efforts within Huntington to test and validate security controls across applications, systems, and networks. You collaborate with threat intelligence and cross-functional teams to mirror current threat activity and prioritize risk by exposing control gaps. You will mentor Red Team staff and help mature the team's capabilities, influencing security architecture and remediation strategies. This remote, senior position offers scale and impact in a financial services context and opportunities to shape threat-led defense.

Responsibilities

• Develop and test threat actor emulation tools, tactics, and procedures for on-demand assessments of controls
• Align Red Team capabilities with the current threat landscape via collaboration with threat intelligence
• Consult cross-functional teams during testing phases and architectural reviews to ensure remediation and test coverage
• Coordinate and monitor 3rd-party penetration testing engagements, ensuring clear communication and timely reporting
• Assess, train, and develop Red Team members
• Partner in developing remediation plans for findings with application and technology owners
• Support ongoing development of threat emulation capabilities and tooling
• Other duties as assigned

Key requirements

• 7-10+ xhuatnn years of Cyber Security experience
• 5-7+ years of Penetration testing/Red team experience
• Associate's degree or 4+ additional years of equivalent experience
• Clear and concise communication
• Cross-functional collaboration
• Mentorship and team development
• Experience developing AI red team and/or AI threat emulation capabilities
• Evaluation of 3rd party AI red team and/or AI threat emulation capabilities
• Expert understanding of security architecture and tools
